Colin Stout: Guitar        Ian Connell: Drums        Andy Fortier: Electric Bass

Here Before There began in mid-2008 when Colin Stout and Andy Fortier first met and began playing together. They both agreed that they wanted to form a trio comprised of guitar, bass, and drums and started to work on song ideas. As these songs started to take shape they began trying out drummers to round out the band, and eventually found one Ian Connell. Ian not only brought dynamic, energetic drumming to the band but also helped further develop and finish the songs. Coincidentally, Ian had just recently moved to the Portland area from the same college town that keyboardist Stefan Perkins was from, with whom Andy had recently played with in the band Abscissa. Although Ian and Stefan were never in bands together, they both had a few musical friends in common. Here Before There recorded their first 5 songs toward the end of 2008 and are now working on new song ideas and looking to book some shows...
