Stefan Perkins: Keyboards        Andy Fortier: Electric Bass        Grant Monroe: Drums

The roots of Abscissa were formed during the summer/fall of 2006 when Andy Fortier and Grant Monroe started working on some new song ideas with just bass and drums. They soon realized that another band member was needed to fill out the sound, and so the search began. At the beginning of 2007 they met one Stefan Perkins (Mandat, Nosebleed Fantastique) and that was when the magic truly began. With Stefan’s keyboard and synthesizer skills the band further developed the original song ideas and continued to collaborate on writing new songs. Abscissa recorded 4 songs in the summer of 2007 and then another 4 songs later that fall. After a short run of local shows, Abscissa decided to call it quits in later the fall of 2007 to pursue other musical interests. However, the music we created remains as one of my personal crowning achievements and I look forward having a new band up and going very soon...
