Well, not too much to get into here... By the time I had recorded Volume II, I had already written most of Volume III. Once Volume I was done I stopped playing those songs almost entirely. Funny thing when you just write and play music for yourself - there are no big milestones or feelings of accomplishment other than completing the song and getting a near perfect recording of it, and once I do that I tend to want to write something new. I was still depressed but increasingly less so. None the less, these songs are very much in the same vein as Volume II and really I consider them to be one big collection of songs. I was still very happy with keeping this stuff at home while fulfilling my more rocking desires by playing in bands. However, after this recording I was not able to keep this kind of split personality intact. There is actually a Volume IV, V, and even part of a VI - but they just didn't do it for me as much and I feel like the songs are way too much from my brain and enough from my heart, so to hell with them. It became obvious that I had to get this kind of music out in the open and in front of people, even if that meant just playing with a drummer again…
As I said, the music is very much like Volume II and carry on many of the same ideas.
